domestic fluffy chicken going out from wooden hen house

How we came about

Several years ago, my mother and I owed a farm and feed store, called 2 Chicks Farm & Feed. At the time, my business coach recommended that I break my furniture/wreath business off and that is how Hen House Décor. I am no longer painting furniture due it being to heavy to move around. We still make custom wreaths, wreath attachments, centerpieces, and other small home décor items. Over time we have added a couple of new items. Now we offer a beginners sewing course and monthly sewing membership (see Sewing Coop above) for more information. Our newest product if our line of fine body products, Beatrice Carry. These products are very clean and you get them scented or unscented with no color additives. The scents are 100% essential oils. Check out the tab “Beatrice Carry” for all the information.

————-About Me————

Michele Martinez is the owner/operator of Hen House Décor. She has been a crafter/sewing expert most of her life and comes from a line of sewing experts that goes back into the 1800’s. Michele spent 28 years in the insurance business before she retired to stay home and help with her first grandchild. She is a strong believer in continuing education, she had more initials behind her name than a doctor. After the “light of her world” began preschool, she went to work for a custom drapery workroom. She began sewing custom pillows and 8 years later was Vice-President. Since that time, Michele left when they moved to the country to be closer to the grandbabies. They have a HUGE barn which houses a large area that has central ac/heat, which she has turned into her workroom. After the grandbabies, her first love is NASCAR, her and hubby travel every year to different tracks. She is currently the treasure of a fairly large fantasy NASCAR league. Michele’s passion for God is one of the greatest assets. Besides sewing/crafting, traveling to races, she loves to teach. When you get to know Michele, you will quickly learn her heart is bigger than Texas and she gives a lot to her community.
